Arek Sinanian (BSc(Eng), MEngSc) is Managing Director, and Principal Consultant in the Sydney office of Enproc (Environmental & Process Management). He is a recognised international expert in greenhouse gas accounting and reporting, energy efficiency, climate change risk management, landfill gas management, sustainability, environmental engineering, environmental management systems and waste management.
Arek has conducted and managed numerous national and international projects dealing with many and diverse environmental management and sustainability issues ranging from climate change adaptation, greenhouse gas accounting and abatement, energy efficiency, environmental due diligence and awareness training programs to landfill gas management and site environmental aftercare.
Arek is a certified National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) and Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) Auditor, and previously a Senior Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Auditor certified by the then Quality Society of Australasia. Since 2005, Arek has been on the international roster of experts advising the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on the establishment of new methodologies for carbon accounting, registration of JI and CDM projects and verification/validation of greenhouse gas abatement.
Before establishing Enproc in 1996, Arek held senior positions in major consultancies and public service organisations. Arek has also lectured to graduate students in Engineering at the University of Technology and post-graduate students in Environmental Engineering at the University of NSW.
